FREQUENCY ADVERBS


They are those adverbs that are used to express the periodicity with which an action is performed when we want to talk about the frequency with which we do something or the frequency with which something happens 
Rules 
It cannot be placed anywhere in the sentence. Depending on the type of verb we will use it in one position or another. 
The general rule is that they are placed in front of the verb 

The basic structure 
Subject + Frequency adverb + Main verb + Complement 

In case the frequency adverbs accompany the verb to be, they will be placed behind 

In this case, the structure is different 
 Subject + Verb To Be + Frequency adverb + Complement 

If it is a verb that is accompanied by a  modal verb or another auxiliary. Frequency adverbs are included in the same way, in front of the main verb 
Frequency adverbs usually, frequently, often, sometimes y occasionally they can be placed at the main or at the end of the sentence 

MAIN FREQUENCY ADVERBS 

ALWAYS: It serves to express the idea of always, forever, or very frequently 

USUALLY: Used to say that something is happening normally 

OFTEN: We can translate it by often that is to say to talk about actions that happen on many occasions 

SOMETIMES: Used to say that something happens sometimes or sometimes 

OCCASIONALLY: We use it to say that something happens sometimes but not often 

RARELY: It is used to say that something does not happen often, something that is difficult to happen

SELDOM: It is used very similarly rarely. These two adverbs are often used in written rather than spoken contexts 

HARDLY EVER: It means that something happens in an exceptional way 

NEVER: It is used to express that something has not happened on any occasion
